BIOGRAPHY
Andrew has four decades of clinical and translational research experience in metabolic, endocrine, and related cardiovascular disorders. He is recognized as a clinical academic and thought leader. Andrew is active in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at national and international level.
He graduated in medicine (MB ChB) from the University of Birmingham, UK and completed his postgraduate training in diabetes, endocrinology, and human metabolism in the UK and His MD clinical research thesis was titled Metabolic Studies in Insulin Resistance.
Andrew’s expertise in the life sciences includes preclinical and early-phase clinical diabetes drug development. He is credited with pioneering innovations in endocrinology clinical practice and metabolic research methodologies. His current projects are focused on precision therapeutics in diabetes and cardiometabolic medicine. Andrew’s medical practice aims to translate science into best personalized care. In addition to his expertise in diabetes & endocrinology he is accredited as a clinical specialist in hypertension by the European Hypertension Society.
