Ultrasound contrast agent (UCA) has been well established as a safe, cost-effective, and reliable imaging tool
for detecting heart disease. UCA is an essential component of echocardiography laboratories, it reduces the need for additional downstream testing, provides results in real time, and increases workfows with a direct impact on patient outcomes. This document aims to guide the echocardiographer in all aspects of UCA, ensuring the safe and efficacious use, ultimately to improve patient outcomes
