Best poster award at the Royal College of Physicians

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from the prestigious Royal College of Physicians (RCP) annual conference, “Medicine 2025,” held in London! We was honoured with the Best Poster Award in the highly competitive research (including clinical, translational, and innovation) category.

The conference, which took place at the RCP in Regent’s Park and online on June 2-3, 2025, brought together leading minds in medicine to share groundbreaking work and advancements. Our winning poster focused on a truly impactful area:

“Impact of the AI based CariHeart risk score, using cardiac CT angiography, on the stratification of patients with suspected coronary artery disease – insight from the NHS England Pilot project.”

This research delves into how an AI-powered risk score, combined with cardiac CT angiography, can significantly improve the way patients with suspected coronary artery disease are assessed and stratified. The insights gleaned from the NHS England Pilot project are particularly exciting, highlighting the potential for innovative AI solutions to enhance clinical decision-making and patient care within our healthcare system.

The award was presented to TCRG member Nerea Garces.
