TCRG recognised during Thomas Lewis Lecture

We are incredibly proud to highlight a significant moment of recognition at the recent British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) Annual Conference in Manchester! During the prestigious Thomas Lewis Lecture, delivered by the Professor Charis Antoniades from Oxford, the MKUH TCRG team received special recognition.

It was with immense pride that MKUH-TCRG was recognized as one of only five implementation sites in the entire UK for this crucial new pathway! This national recognition underscores the dedication and hard work of everyone involved at MKUH in revolutionizing how chest pain is assessed and managed, ultimately leading to faster and more accurate diagnoses for patients.

This achievement is a testament to the collaborative spirit and relentless effort of several key teams and individuals within MKUH. We extend our deepest gratitude and credit to:

  • The RACPC team: Their expertise and commitment are foundational to the success of this pathway.
  • The CT team: Their pivotal role in leveraging advanced imaging for better patient stratification is invaluable.
  • The operational, divisional, and executive management: Their unwavering support and strategic foresight in accommodating and championing this transformative project within MKUH have been instrumental.

This recognition at such a high-profile national conference, as part of Professor Antoniades’ impactful Thomas Lewis Lecture, is a fantastic endorsement of MKUH’s commitment to innovation and excellence in cardiovascular care. It truly highlights how collaborative efforts can lead to significant advancements that benefit patients across the country.
